My grandmother recently moved into a new house. This was a strange step for everyone. Her one story home in Tarbert was a castle for us. Although it was a small house, there were acres and acres of land. They had a pond, a little maze, a field for sheep, a forest. It was wonderful. But it was too far away and the house and land had outgrown them and it was time for a new beginning.
The best time for new beginnings is now.
I went to visit for the first time on the 9th of June. She had lunch prepared and we sat in the sunspot of the garden eating a fresh salad before picking up my cousins from school. We then got a litre of ice cream and ate it after dinner before driving the kids to go sailing and then we walked the dog. It was all very lovely but the sun made us tired and lazy.
This is the view from the back of the house. I’m very jealous.
May your home know joy, each room hold laughter, and every window always be open to possibilities.
Today I close the door to my past, open the door to my future, take a deep breath and step through a new life.

I’m wishing my gran many happy and healthy years in this lovely little home! Largs is not the worst place to live.
